News Summer 2016

Jul 16

Summer 2016 has so far been one of our busiest.  We have secured commissions as civil and structural engineers on a number of high profile school projects, including a new £15M secondary school in Bromley working alongside our clients Kier Construction and a great project team.  We also have a number of projects ongoing for several of our longstanding industrial clients, including exciting plans for expansion.

Several projects we have undertaken design work on are starting on site so we look forward to seeing them take shape, and dealing with any problems that arise during construction.

We are also assisting UK Power Networks in the assessment of the flood resilience of their substation sites across the south east, followi2ng successful completion of a first tranche of sites, a couple of years ago.

The last few months have also been exceptionally busy on the ground investigation and survey fronts.  Both departments have a healthy workload ahead as well – always a good sign for future work for the civil and structural teams.

We have been delighted to welcome several new members of staff over the last few months.  In particular Daniel McLeish joined us as an Associate in February, having been engineering manager for Bovis Homes eastern region previously.  We see Daniel’s appointment as key for our development and growth over the next few years.  We continue to seek enthusiastic and well qualified staff to add to our team.

We have recently completed an overhaul of our website and will be updating it regularly in future.  We are also hosting the next ‘Building Connexions’ networking event on 29th July in Canterbury, so hope to see some of you there.
